How does a signal booster work?
A booster has an outdoor antenna that picks up the tower signal, a unit that amplifies it, and one or more indoor antennas that distribute it. The result: calls without drops and faster internet where the signal is weak.

Is an outdoor signal required for the booster to work?
Yes, a booster amplifies an existing signal. If there is no signal at all on the roof, it cannot boost it.
